Boca is a typeface based on an old wood-type alphabet. I discovered the only remaining original characters in a specimen printed by Chris Fritton, the Itinerant Printer. Using characteristics from these letters I reverse-engineered the rest of the set.
Imagined modern-day posters advertise landmark locations in Boca Raton, the font’s birthplace. The circular element recalls a passport-like stamp and a hot Floridian sun.
